Indications of a capacitor - fly back transformer

What kind of indications will come into view if a capacitor is open or shorted in a flyback transformer?

Capacitor shorted

1. There will not be a display
2. The B+ voltage will probably drop.
3. Secondary diode in general will be burnt.
4. The output transistor which is in horizontal position will be shorted.
5. There might be a Power blink.
6. There might be a chance of power section to blow.
7. Power section may also have the possibility of shut down
8. At times the automatic clarity limiter (ABL) circuitry mechanism will get burned.
This circuit is generally positioned at the side of the flyback transformer.

Capacitor open

1. If there is a High voltage there might be a possibility of shut down.
2. Monitor will contain some unusual 'tic - tic' sound. At times the capacitor might compute O.K.
3. The output transistor which is Horizontal may blow in some hours or days after you have put back it.
4. At times it will reason for an irregular "no display".
5. indistinct display i.e., the display will go in and out
6. It will be the reason for a horizontal output transistor to turn out to be shorted.
