LAS VEGAS – efficacy officials blamed a transformer failure on last Wednesday for a power outage that affected 4 Las Vegas Strip resorts and left dozens of populace stuck in elevators for more than an hour. Nil injuries were reported among people who got stuck in the elevators until fire-fighters and hotel staff members reached them at the Mandalay Bay, Luxor, Excalibur and 4 Seasons hotels, fire representatives and hotel officials said. Casinos stayed open and operating with their maximum reserve power, and officials said generators afforded electricity for security and essential hotel functions at the properties, which totals more than 13,000 rooms that are operated or managed by giant in the casino industry MGM Mirage Inc.
