High-Current Inductor Series Extended To 71 A

By means of latest standard ERU25 series, Epcos now offer high power inductors in exterior mount technology with current capability of up to 71 A. The ERU25 is based on enhanced ferrite core and the plane rectangular wires that permit a copper filling factor of approximately 100%.

The low core fatalities as well as solid terminal areas of the self supporting twisting mean an outstanding power storage density. In spite of its high performance, the component has a footprint of only 23,5 x 25,3 mm, whereas the insertion height vary between 8,95 and 12,85 mm, depending on the type.

The latest series is well suitable to high-current low-voltage DC-DC converters, scattered power supply as well as intermediary bus converters in ¼-inch, ½-inch and full-bridge version for telecommunications and industrial electronics applications.
