A mid noon power outage distressing some 800 homes enforced the town to unlock an emergency protection at the Senior Center previous nighttime.
People lost their current after a power transformer at the North Andover Pleasant road Substation exploded. The transformer measures that electricity is flowing through the substation. Streets exaggerated by the power breakdown included Pleasant road, Stevens lane, Park avenue, Fountain Drive, Main boulevard, Osgood road, Concord lane, Davis avenue, Lincoln boulevard and Harkway Road.
As of 10 previous night merely two people had checkered in at the provisional shelter being harmonized by the North Andover Fire Department and American Red Cross of the Merrimack Valley. Further people have determined to go with relatives or somewhere else, Sgt. Pickard thought.
A few decided to continue in their house itself. One of the buildings exaggerated by the power failure was the 31 unit old housing compound run at Fountain Drive undergone by the North Andover board authority. Refer:http://www.eagletribune.com/punews/local_story_349093937
